03Method

How it works

  1. 01

    First conversation

You describe your property and your situation. We tell you what we can do, and at what price, before you commit to anything.

  2. 02

    Visit and survey

We examine the property on site, from the cellar to the accessible roof, and gather the existing documents.

  3. 03

    Action plan

You receive a clear report: the findings, their priority, the steps to take and the professionals to involve.

  4. 04

    Support

If you wish, we coordinate what comes next: quotes, grants, contractors and deadlines, until the file is closed.

04In all transparency

What we don’t do

Knowing what falls outside our role avoids misunderstandings.

  • We don’t carry out the works.

We scope them, refer you to contractors and follow up on their work. Because we build nothing ourselves, we stay objective about what is needed.

  • We don’t issue official certificates.

EPB certificates, electrical inspections, attestations: these are the job of accredited professionals, whom we can bring in for you.

  • We don’t promise grants.

Eligibility depends on your region, your situation and the rules in force when you apply. The authorities decide.

  • We don’t replace a notary or a lawyer.

For a deed or a dispute, we refer you to them, with the technical file in hand.

05Questions

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions we are asked most often before a first request.

How much does a survey cost?

It depends on the property, its size and what needs checking. We quote the price after our first conversation, before any visit. If you are thinking of selling the property, the survey may be offered to you free of charge: mention it in your request.

Does the survey replace the EPB certificate?

No. The EPB certificate is issued by an accredited assessor, and the electrical installation inspection by an accredited body. Our survey complements them: it covers the whole property and tells you what to do. If one of these documents is missing, we help you obtain it.

Can you get me a grant?

We check which support you may be entitled to depending on your region and situation, then prepare the application with you and follow it up. The decision lies with the authorities: we cannot guarantee it.

My home has been declared unfit. Where do I start?

Attach the report or letter you received to your request. We read it, assess the property on site, draw up a prioritised remediation plan, then coordinate the contractors.

I’m buying a property: can you survey it beforehand?

Yes. The survey helps you see what will need doing, and what to check, before you commit. Tell us about your deadlines in your request.

Do you carry out the works?

No. We scope the works, refer you to contractors and follow up on their work. That is what keeps us objective about what is really necessary.

Where do you work?

Mainly in Wallonia and Brussels. If your property is elsewhere in Belgium, describe your situation: we’ll tell you frankly whether we can help.

Another question?

Ask it in your request: we’ll answer it during our first conversation.
